The reasons why WIMP votes get stolen

The 2020 steal of Write-In and Minor Party (WIMP) votes reminds me of kids who steal money from a change jar.  Typically, the kids screw up by taking all the quarters and leaving behind just nickels, dimes, and pennies.  The parent or change jar owner is oblivious of the theft until they pick up the jar and notice that it is too light.  After which,  they dump the jar and see all the quarters are missing -- and the theft is confirmed.

In the 2020 election, the (unspecified) vote thieves made the same mistake.  

All that was left in the in the WIMP vote jar was nickels, dimes, and pennies (i.e., an incredibly low number of votes).

So, why are WIMP votes targeted for theft?

Did shifted WIMP (Write-In & Minor Party) votes make Biden more "popular" than Clinton?

Back in 2016, then candidate Hillary Clinton got almost 3 million more popular votes than the Electoral College winner, Donald Trump.   

In 2020, Trump gained more popular votes as a sitting president than any of his predecessors.  Trump also received the highest percentage of non-white votes than any GOP candidate since Richard Nixon in 1960.  

Despite those statistics, Trump (allegedly) still lost to Biden by a little over 7 million votes.   

Or did he? 

Wisconsin's WIMP problem

Wisconsin's WIMP votes declined by 132K from 2016 to 2020

Wisconsin had a WIMP problem in the 2020 election. 

WIMP is an acronym for Write-In and Minor Party.   The graphic above shows that WIMP votes declined by 132,307 votes from 2016 to 2020.     Similar declines have been found in other key battleground states -- for example:

Arizona:                Minor Party:  -106,100;  Write-In:  -51,238  

Georgia:               Minor Party:    -83,192:  Write-In:  -20,155

Pennsylvania:       Minor Party:  -180,752:  Write-In: -113,417

Are all of these declines a coincidence?  Did  minor party and other voters decide to acquiesce and vote for a major party candidate?  Or do these declines represent this a systemic issue in our US elections/voting systems?

Evidence suggests the latter.

In each of the states listed above, the decline in Write-In votes was greater than Biden's margins of victory.

Vote Dumps Should Be Investigated

Numerous so-called fact-check sites have attempted to dismiss large vote spikes as human error or software glitches that were later corrected.  For example, the fact checkers dismissed the Michigan vote spike on the basis that a tweet said all the votes were for Biden.

As the table shows, the Michigan vote spike was not all for Biden, but nonetheless, the data shows an anomalous margin of 113,755 votes.  To put it another way, the precinct in question went 96% for Biden and 4% for Trump -- and that's a result that deserves red-flagged.

An analysis conducted by a team of volunteers (computer scientists, engineers, statisticians, and analysts) concluded that only a few corrections were made and the results of the famously large vote spikes in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin remain in the final vote tallies in those states.

While these spikes are not evidence of fraud or manipulation in and of themselves, they demand further investigation.
